The Experience

Every wedding unfolds a little differently, which is why I offer flexible coverage. While 8 hours is the right fit for most celebrations, your timeline should reflect your plans rather than trying to fit into a package.
As a starting point, I generally recommend allowing around an hour with each of you while you're getting ready. From there, we'll move into your ceremony, congratulations and family photographs, before setting aside an hour for your wedding party and newlywed portraits so nothing feels rushed.
The remainder of the day is typically spent capturing cocktail hour, your reception, speeches and celebrations, with a 20- 30 minute portrait session around sunset. As a guide, I usually recommend coverage finishing around 30-60 minutes after your final reception formality, giving us enough time to document the energy of the dance floor while still leaving you to enjoy the rest of the evening with your guests.
EXAMPLE 8 HOUR TIMELINE:
12:30 Bridal Party 1 Getting Ready
1:30 Bridal Party 2 Getting Ready
3:00 Ceremony Setup & Guest Arrivals
3:30 Ceremony & Congratulations
4:15 Family Photos
4:30 Bridal Party & Newly Wed Portraits
6:00 Cocktail Hour
6:30 Reception Entrance
7:30 Speeches & Cake cutting
8:00 Sunset Couple Portrait

Most couples don’t come to me wanting thousands of images. They want to remember how the day felt. The calm before the Ceremony. The energy in the room. The way people looked at each other when no one else was watching.
My work is focused on creating a complete story of your day. To me that should feel natural, honest, and emotionally true, while still being refined and beautifully composed. You should be able to look back at your gallery and not just see what happened, but remember exactly how it felt to be there.
-
I pride myself in providing you with a carefully curated body of work that reflects your day truthfully. This isn’t just the highlight moments, but the in-between ones that often mean the most. My aim is to deliver you an honest and timeless collection of images that represent you and your partner.
-
Calm, unobtrusive, intentional & collaborative. I’m there to notice the things you might miss and work with you and your team on the day. I’m not there to make the day about me.
Most couples tell me afterward they barely noticed me being there and it mostly felt like hanging out with a creative friend, yet every important moment was captured beautifully. -
I work in rhythm with the day and your vision.
During key moments like ceremonies, speeches or first looks, I stay discreet and focused on observation. For family and group photos, I step in with structure and confidence so everything runs efficiently and smoothly.
For portraits, I give gentle direction that prioritises movement and connection. My priority is you both hanging out, relaxed and having fun. The aim is always the same, to give you the best of my ability whilst respecting your presence in the day.
-
Because the most meaningful moments can’t be recreated. I know that once people become aware of the camera, the energy shifts which is where I am to keep things relaxed and easy going. My approach is about protecting the natural flow of your day so the photographs reflect something real.
-
I work quietly in the background, responding to what naturally unfolds.
When guidance is needed, I’ll step in gently. When moments are happening on their own, I step back completely. The result is photography that feels like your day, not a version of your day created for a camera.
-
I aim to guide you into light, movement, texture and interactions. I’m not interested in forcing you to do things that are not you. The best images come when people forget about the camera entirely.
Majority of couples are not overly comfortable in front of the camera. With that in mind, my vision is to make portraits as relaxed and true to you as possible.
-
Yes. My focus is on the photography timing and the overall flow of the day.
A well-paced wedding makes a significant difference to how the day feels, not just how it photographs. When there’s enough breathing room built into the schedule, everything feels more relaxed, unhurried, and enjoyable which naturally leads to better, more meaningful photographs.
I’ll guide you through how to structure your photography timeline, including when to schedule portraits, how long to allow for family photos, and how to create space in the day so nothing feels rushed or forced.
I also highly recommend working with a wedding planner where possible. The best wedding days I photograph are almost always the ones where a planner is involved, not because things are overly complicated, but because it allows you to stay fully present while someone else ensures everything runs smoothly in the background.
When coordination, timing, and logistics are handled professionally, you’re left with more space to enjoy the experience and trust that everything is unfolding as it should.
-
Most couples describe the experience in a very similar way. They felt completely at ease almost immediately, and quickly stopped noticing the camera was even there. Rather than feeling like they were being photographed, they were able to stay present in their day, enjoying the moment as it naturally unfolded.
A lot of couples also talk about the calm, easygoing nature of the experience from start to finish. From the first conversation through to the wedding day itself, everything feels clear, organised, and uncomplicated. They often mention feeling reassured and relaxed knowing things are being handled without needing to think too much about the photography side of the day.
When they receive their gallery, not only are they blown away by their images but many are surprised by the moments that were captured without them realising, the quiet interactions, emotional exchanges, and moments that they didn’t even notice happening at the time. It’s often these images that end up meaning the most, because they reflect the day exactly as it felt.

Most couples book 12 to 24 months before their wedding, especially if they're planning a spring or autumn celebration.
Once a date is booked, it's reserved exclusively for that couple, so availability can fill well in advance. If you've been thinking about reaching out, it's always worth getting in touch early. If I still have your date available, I'd love to chat.
-
GETTING TO KNOW YOU
We’ll start with a relaxed conversation about your wedding plans and what matters most to you. If everything feels like the right fit, your date is secured with a 25% deposit and signed agreement.
-
THREE MONTHS OUT
I’ll check in as your day starts coming together. You’ll receive a short questionnaire and we’ll refine the flow of your timeline, making sure everything feels natural, unhurried, and well-paced.
-
THE FINAL CHECK IN
We’ll confirm your timeline and any final details so everything feels clear and aligned. Your remaining balance is also due at this stage, so you can move into the wedding feeling relaxed and prepared.
-
WEDDING DAY & BEYOND
I’ll document your day as it naturally unfolds, arriving at the planned time and working quietly in the background. You’ll receive sneak peeks within a few days, and your full gallery no later than 8 weeks. From there, we can explore prints and fine art albums.
