Eight hours of coverage is generally the right fit for most weddings, although this can vary depending on how you choose to spend your day.

As a starting point, I usually recommend allowing 45 minutes with the first bridal party and 75 minutes with the second. I love making time for 15 minute portrait session of you both at different intervals in your day, when the light can offer something quite unique and beautiful. From there, we'll move through your ceremony, congratulations and family photographs, before setting aside time for wedding party and sunset portraits.

The remainder of the day is often spent documenting cocktail hour, reception details, speeches and the celebrations that follow. Ideally, coverage finishes around 30–60 minutes after your final reception formality, allowing time to capture the dance floor before I leave you to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Editorial in approach, documentary by nature. I'm drawn to the way light falls, the details that make a setting unique, and the interactions that happen naturally between people. My approach brings these elements together, balancing considered composition and gentle direction with an instinct for observing what's unfolding around me.

During portraits, I'll offer confident direction around light, movement and composition, giving you enough guidance to feel comfortable. For the rest of the day, I'll work more intuitively, allowing conversations, expressions and interactions to unfold without interruption. The balance changes depending on the moment, but the intention is always to keep things feeling like you.

My aim is to create a considered body of work that tells the story of your wedding in its entirety alongside beautiful images of you and your people. As well as the key moments, you'll find the quieter interactions, fleeting expressions, thoughtful details and unexpected frames that help bring the day back to life. Each image is individually selected and edited with a consistent approach to colour, light and composition.

The result is a personal gallery that feels cohesive and clean, capturing not only what your wedding looked like, but the atmosphere and feeling of being there.

Where possible, I recommend having a wedding planner or coordinator involved. Having someone oversee the logistics allows you to spend less time thinking about the logistics of your day and more time enjoying what's happening around you.

My focus is on the photography schedule and how it fits within the wider flow of your day. I'll help you work through the timing of preparations, portraits, family photographs and sunset, making sure there's enough room for everything without making the day feel like a running schedule of appointments.

I'm based in Geelong and regularly photograph weddings throughout Melbourne, the Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast, Great Ocean Road and Yarra Valley, as well as destinations further across Victoria. I'm always happy to travel for the right wedding, wherever you're planning to bring everyone together. Travel arrangements can be discussed when putting together your photography coverage.
